Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui distributed scholarship cheques at a Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) ceremony at Napa in Karachi on Monday.
Officials said the federal minister attended the cheque distribution ceremony at the National Academy of Performing Arts as the chief guest. In his address, Dr Siddiqui praised Napa as a distinguished institution that had nurtured creative minds and ideas, providing a global platform for talented individuals to showcase their skills.
“Finding truth through knowledge and research is the biggest challenge and the only path to prosperity these days. One should strive to find the truth through knowledge, research, contemplation, and innovation,” he said.
Emphasizing the importance of investing in youth, Dr Siddiqui remarked, “The most important investment for any nation is the investment in youth through providing them opportunities to attain knowledge. It is an investment that will be very fruitful for any nation’s future. Through education, not only do countries prosper, but the entire region flourishes.”
He highlighted examples of countries that have effectively harnessed their youth as an asset, asserting that Pakistan is on a similar path by providing its young population with opportunities through platforms like PEEF.
