Interference for me but not thee
The PTI is celebrating the passing of Resolution 901 by the US Congress. This is the same party whose leader boasted about saying ‘absolutely not’ to the US. No doubt, America is a global policeman, with a self-proclaimed right to interfere in other countries’ sovereign affairs. Unfortunately, certain factions in our country welcome such interference if it is in their favour but, sooner or later, when it is used against them, they half-heartedly call out ‘absolutely not’.
It is an open secret that lots of money is doled out to get such favours from the senators and the lobbyists in Washington DC. Now, Pakistan is planning to pass a counter resolution to condemn the interference but that would be not enough. Why not ask the why they have not passed any resolution condemning the genocide by Israel in Gaza.
