LAHORE: Former President Arif Alvi said that the public mandate should be respected and the founder PTI Imran Khan should be given justice and released from the prison.
He expressed these views while addressing a lawyers' conventionorganised by Lahore High Court Bar Association on the issue of letter of six judges here on Monday. Alvi said that the lawyers of the country are making huge struggle in order to change this system. "We will not move forward until justice is delivered in Pakistan," he added.
After holding the convention, the lawyers took out a rally from Lahore High Court Bar to GPO Chowk to show solidarity with the judges. The lawyers raised slogans in favour of judges in the rally. Senior lawyer Hamid Khan assured the six judges of Islamabad High Court that the lawyers from all over Pakistan are standing with them.
