Hyderabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a worker of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) allegedly involved in bribery and facilitating Kunda connections.
The arrest was made in a trap raid carried out in connection with an inquiry that was initiated on a complaint of a man, Adnan Ali.
The suspect was identified as Muhammad Irfan, an employee of the Hesco Hyderabad.
He has been accused of his involvement in operating a network of illegal Kunda connections in the Saddar sub-division of the HESCO Hyderabad.
FIA officer Masroor Baloch said the suspect had been collecting monthly bribes from registered consumers of Hesco. Subsequently, a written application was submitted before a Hyderabad district and sessions
court, with a request for deputing a magistrate for conducting a trap raid, he added.
The civil judge and judicial magistrate-IV was deputed and the trap raid was conducted in his presence at a Photostat shop behind in Saddar.
