Smog emitters

Lahore’s high level of air pollution puts it in a risky situation. There is a great deal of harm caused by this pollution, and people are suffering greatly. The excess number of vehicles on the road is a major contributor to the problem.

More people must switch to public transport and electric vehicles must replace petrol and diesel vehicles in order to solve the problem on a long-term basis.

Air pollution has become particularly problematic in some parts of the country. The problem is mainly caused by vehicular and industrial emissions and the burning of agricultural residue, filling cities and towns with smog.

The relevant authorities must reaffirm their commitment to combat environmental degradation and air pollution, which pose a serious threat to human life.
