KARACHI: Mario Hardy, chief executive officer of the Pacific-Asia Travel Association (PATA) is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistan Chapter, from March 15 to 18, a statement said on Monday.
Hardy’s visit is expected to become a high profile event of worldwide news-value that can be internationally positive for Pakistan as a tourist destination.
Speaking to newsmen, Lt Col Akbar A Shareef (Retd), chairman of the Pakistan Chapter of the association, paid tributes to the provincial tourism administrations of Sindh and Punjab for their swift and positive response to its initiative of inviting Hardy.
He also thanked the PATA chief executive officer for accepting the invitation in what is said to be difficult times being faced by Pakistan tourism.
