Fazal to head polio eradication task force

Islamabad: Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD ) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary will be the chairman of the task force for eradication of polio from Islamabad.

A decision to this effect was taken during a polio review meeting held here Tuesday. The Prime Minister’s focal person on polio eradication Ayesha Raza said, Dr. Tariq Fazal was the most suitable person for chairmanship of the task force.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tariq Fazal said polio eradication is one of the top-most priorities of the government, and termed close coordination and cooperation between all relevant departments as being essential to fighting the menace. He directed the chairman of CDA and ICT officials to ensure their respective departments’ cooperation to the national cause.
