KARACHI: Twin bomb explosions occurred in Landhi area of the metropolis, killing four including DSP Quaidabad Kamal Khan and a sub-inspector Akbar Hussain on Thursday. Several others were injured in the explosions.
According to sources, the first blast took place at a garbage dump while another explosion occurred when police and rescue officials reached the site.
Police said that the second bomb was placed in a cement block which also contained ball bearings. Three ambulances and a police mobile were destroyed in the blast.
The target of the second blast was police, rescue officials and media teams, police added.
