Qadri summoned over asylum oath breach

- January 18, 2013 - Updated 2245 PKT - From Web Edition

OTTAWA: Canadian authorities summoned Tehrik e Minhajul Quran (TMQ) Chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on February 5 to explain a violation of the oath he had taken while seeking asylum there.

Qadri had sought asylum in Canada in 2008, saying there were threats to his life.

TMQ chief ended his protest launched in Islamabad aimed at ousting the government after he signed an agreement with a government team on Thursday.

However, TMQ’s spokesman Qazi Faiz Islam talking to Geo news denied the reports, saying that Tahirul Qadri never make false claims with the Canadian authorities.

The reports regarding summoning of Qadri by Canadian authorities are baseless, he added.

They might kick him out along with five star trailer.

It is yet another proof of Mr. Qadri’s duplicity. He is a master liar and bends quickly in any direction. He is on record for saying that Prophet Mohammed asked him to buy a plane ticket for him to travel to media from Pakistan, as well as arrange his accommodation during his stay in Pakistan. Then he boasted that there were 4 million people in Islamabad to help him to kick the PPP government. The list goes on and on. Qadri must think that Pakistanis are real stupid?

I hope this does happen, fed up of people from outside pakistan trying to influence whilst enjoying western pleasures themselves.

Rehman Malik was not part of the team made a deal with Mr. Qadri. So Mr. Qadri have an excuse of a persistant threat. But I think it is not about the threat Mr.Qadri has to explain to canadians, He has to explain why he was so easily failed in the mission of bringing change to pakistan to the satisfaction of Canadians and fellows.
