CHINIOT: At least 17 people died after a passenger van collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction here on Monday night, Geo News reported.

Sources said most of the victims were burnt alive after the compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders in the van exploded in a ball of fire following the head-on collision on Lahore road.

The unfortunate passenger van, en route to Faisalabad, was coming from Islamabad.

The scores of injured with many of them critical after suffering severe burns in the collision-caused-fire were rushed to the hospital, the rescuers said.

This is a very sad news , one cant even come up with words to express the anger and hate for the authorities involved to allow the reckless drivers and substandard vechicles on road for public transport.
