Islamabad: The political forces of the country are set to evolve today (Saturday) an amicable political solution for steering Balochistan out of the worst law and order situation where incidents of target killings and kidnapping for ransom are on the rise.
A seminar, being held today under the auspices of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), has invited all the political parties of the country to evolve a comprehensive way out for the solution of lingering problems being faced by the province.
“We have arranged the seminar in the national cause keeping in view the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan and have invited all the political parties knowing their suggestions and deliberations for an amicable political solution for the betterment of the province,” Muhammad Yasin Azad, President Supreme Court Bar Association, told reporters here on Friday.
He said that all the political parties including the ruling PPP, PML-N, MQM, JUI, Jamaat-e-Islami, ANP, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf as well as nationalist parties from Balochistan are participating in the seminar.
The SCBA president further said that leaders of all the political parties including PML-N chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan of PTI will head their respective parties, while ANP will be led by its central leader, Afrasiab Khattak, who has consented to participate in the conference.
He said that it is expected that Jahangir Badar will lead the PPP in the seminar, adding that they have also invited Interior Minister Rehman Malik to assist the participants on the issue. Likewise, he said that he had personally visited 9 Zero in Karachi and met the leadership of MQM adding that most probably, Farooq Sattar, will head the MQM in the seminar.
The SCBA president further said that all the nationalist parties from Balochistan are also participating in the seminar
