Kashmiri protesters hoist Pak flags again

SRINAGAR: Pakistani flags were once again hoisted in various areas of the Indian-Occupied Kashmir on Friday during protests against the Indian occupation.
The protests were led by Hurriyet leaders Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Zamurda Habib and Muhammad Ramzan Khan. Indian police used brute force to disperse the demonstrators in various areas, injuring several people. The demonstrators were subjected to heavy lathi-charge and excessive tear-gassing.
According to information received from Kashmir, protests against the Indian occupation and in favour of independence were held in capital Srinagar, Baramulla, Kapwara, Hindwara, Bandipura, Berwah, Chadwara and many other areas of the valley.
At various places, the crowd was carrying Pakistani flags. They chanted slogans in Pakistan’s favour and against India.Attacking a group of youth marching with Pakistani flags in their hands, Indian police stopped them from moving forward.
Later, Indian forces resorted to baton-charge and tear gas at the participants of the rally, which was retaliated with stone throwing by the protesters.
Hurriyet leaders including Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, addressing public gatherings at different places, said that India could not suppress the ongoing liberation struggle of Kashmiris through repressive measures. Complete shutdown was observed in Tangmarg to mark the martyrdom anniversary of a Kashmiri scholar, Professor Abdul Waheed.
