Robbers kill ex-soldier

JHANG: Robbers Thursday shot dead a former soldier in a dacoity bid.
Dacoits barged into the house of Muhammad Ibad, in Chund Bharwana village in the limits of police station Massan. Ibad resisted them and the bandits shot him dead and fled the house after collecting cash and gold.
ARMS LICENCES: On the directions of the Punjab Home Department, arms licenses are being issued to educational institutions mentioned in the security list of A+ and A category.
According to DCO Nadir Chattha six government and seven private colleges and universities are declared A+ and five government and eleven private colleges and universities are in A category list of security list. The DCO said all institutions of A and A+ category would be provided licenses. He said the government institutions have already been provided funds to purchase guns, saying that each gun was being purchased for Rs 40,000. The DCO said security guards of all institutions would also be imparted training about the use of guns through police department.
