Sacrificial meat distributed among poor

Islamabad : Rabita Alam-e-Islami distributed sacrificial meat to the poor people at Dar-e ali-Abi-Talib in Islamabad.

Deputy Saudi Ambassador Muhammad Khalaf Al Anzi, Chairman Qamar Jahan foundation Dr. Jamal Nasir, as chief guest with Director General Saad Masud Al-Harsi, Javed Butt and other on the occasion, says a press release. The project is part of the humanitarian aid of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the people of Pakistan. Sacrificial meat was distributed among the poor, needy and orphans, and was also sent to other cities including Peshawar, Swabi, Jhelum, Bagh, Muzaffarabad and Chitral, while 32 cows were sacrificed for the people of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Dr Jamal Nasir paid tribute to the services and thanked the Secretary General of Rabita-e-Alam-e-Islami, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Kareem Al-Issa and the Government of Saudi Arabia. He said on this occasion that Saudi government and Rabita Alam-e-Islami are carrying projects which are helpful in alleviating poverty and miseries of our people. These services are being highly appreciated by the people of Pakistan.

Al-Harithi said that Rabita-e-Alam-e-Islami is a ray of hope for the deprived and oppressed peoples of the world and today’s programme is a gift from Rabita-e-Alam-e-Islami to the happiness of the people here. And this is proof that Rabita-e-Alam-e-Islami is at the forefront of serving its Pakistani brothers using its available resources. Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Saudi Ambassador Muhammad Khalaf Al-Anzi said that Pak-Saudi friendship will grow stronger with the passage of time and the Saudi government stands by the government and people of Pakistan.
