Conference on business schools to start on 17th
Islamabad: Dean, directors and heads of 82 business schools of Pakistan will participate in the two-day international conference on 'Emerging Challenges of Business Schools' to be organised by the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) from February 17-18.
NBEAC's Deans and Directors Conference is a strategic level event for determining the future of management education in Pakistan, where over 100 deans of business schools participate annually to share experiences and to discuss areas of mutual interest.
This year the conference will focus on strengthening business schools through creating partnerships among the schools and with other key players influencing or being influenced by business education. The participants will also deliberate upon strengthening business schools through industry academia partnerships, and will suggest ways to enhance research activities in business schools through partnerships, besides providing focused recommendations for enhancing employability skills of business graduates. Deans, directors and heads of 82 out of the 120 business schools in Pakistan will be taking part in the conference. Other participants will include prominent industry experts and entrepreneurs. The conference shall comprise six preliminary sessions, five policy roundtables, two workshops and an exhibition. It shall be a blend of industry and academia related topics.
The exhibition entitled 'Art Business Apart 2016' is to draw the attention of artists and graphic designers and men and women of the literary world to employ their skills and develop poetry, prose, graphics, paintings, cartoons, posters, scripts, drama, songs, stories, short films, multimedia stints, and all other kinds of genre to portray the world of business. There will be 30 international speakers at the conference from SAARC countries including Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Europe, USA and Canada.
