Wekh Lahore begins today
Claimed as the country’s biggest photo contest and exhibition held so far, Wekh Lahore Photo Contest and Exhibition organised by Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) will start at Alhamra Art Council from today. The Wekh Lahore Photo Contest and Exhibition is primarily for young photographers and lovers of Lahore. Three categories in the contest and exhibition are architecture, street life and monuments. Most of the pictures received are of architecture and monuments, they maintained. WCLA Director General Kamran Lashari said it would be a mega event of the authority, which was held every year. “I wish all participants best of luck and appreciate them for their enthusiastic participation,” he said. Another official, Asif Zaheer, said there was a huge range of prizes and hoped nobody would go without a prize. Tania Qureshi said they would display a huge number of pictures. —Correspondent
