Man killed in shootout
LAHORE
A person died and three others received injuries in an incident of exchange of firing between two groups in the Samanabad police limits on Friday.Police said that the incident occurred on the Dera of Chaudhry Aslam. Police said that Chaudhry was sitting on his dera when his rivals came, exchanged some harsh words with them. Afterwards, they opened fire at each other. As a result, four persons, Bilal, Mudassar, Iqbal and Safdar received injuries. The injured were shifted to hospital where the doctors pronounced one of them brought dead. police removed the body to morgue.
Heavy contingent of police led by their officers reached the incident place on information, collected forensic evidence from crime scene and registered the statements of the eye-witnesses.
Police have formed teams to arrest the accused persons involved in the incident. These teams were conducting raids at different places.
BURNT: Valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were burnt in an incident of cylinder blast in a shop in the Green Town police limits on Friday.Rescue officials said that a cylinder exploded at a shop at Waris Chowk.
As a result, four shops, including a mobile repair shop, caught fire. Nearby people tried to extinguish fire but failed. On which, they called rescue teams and police. They reached the incident place on information and extinguished fire.
DIES: A 90-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances in the Data Darbar police limits on Friday. Police said that the victim, Abdul Salam, a resident of Laal Pul, Mughalpura, had come to pay homage to Darbar. Suddenly, his condition deteriorated and he fell unconscious.
