‘Terrorists wanted to inflict more damage at BKU than APS’
CHARSADDA: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mardan, Saeed Khan Wazir, on Tuesday lauded the bravery of the cops for foiling the terrorists’ designs of causing more damage in the Bacha Khan University attack.
Speaking at a function here, Saeed Khan Wazir said that the cops fought with bravery and killed the attackers before they could have achieved their target. The terrorists wanted to cause more damage than the Army Public School in Peshawar, he added. The DIG said the terrorists wanted to target Abdul Wali Khan University but later changed the target as Bacha Khan University was located in a rural area.
“The terrorists changed the target believing they could inflict more damage by attacking Bacha Khan University due to its rural location,” he added. Saeed Khan Wazir said the security forces and police would ultimately eliminate the monster of terrorism from the country.
