A group of residents of DHA Phase-I called on Administrator DHA Brig Zubair Ahmed in his office on Friday and discussed matters related to the preservation of the natural environment and the beautification of the area.

He told the delegation that DHA accorded utmost importance to the promotion of greenery and plantation to provide an aesthetically vibrant living environment to its residents.

The administrator informed the delegation that a few old termite-infected trees were chopped off in West Avenue Phase-I for widening the road leading to the DHA Head Office to provide smooth and hassle-free access to residents in large public interest.

Last year, as a special initiative the housing authority had planned some 5,000 trees in DHA while 25,000 trees had been planted in the DHA City Karachi (DCK) project. This year, additional thousands of new trees will be planted throughout the DHA Karachi in coordination with CBC.
