‘All possible resources for security of campuses’
LAHORE
All resources will be provided to ensure foolproof security at educational institutes, says Punjab Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal.
Addressing a meeting of the cabinet subcommittee on law and order held to review security arrangements at educational institutes at the Civil Secretariat on Friday, he directed that implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding the security of educational institutes be ensured in letter and spirit adding all relevant departments should play their active role in this regard.
During the briefing, the meeting was told that the home department had issued SOPs and educational institutes of A and A Plus categories had been directed to take special measures for improving security.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran, Special Assistant to CM Rana Maqbool Ahmad, secretaries of schools, higher education, health, agriculture and other departments and concerned officers.
