Seven-year-old child murdered after assault

FAISALABAD

A seven-year-old child was murdered after sodomy at Chak 206/RB in Khurrianwala police limits.

Abdur Rehman enticed Qurban Ali to get him free meal from a shrine. To it, Qurban went with Abdur Rehman. However, the accused took Qurban to the fields where he sodomised him. Later, the accused strangled Qurban. Police have registered a case and started investigation.

REMANDED: A magistrate granted four days physical remand of former tehsil nazim Misbahuddin Zaigham and two others in a bank fraud case.

The FIA had arrested former tehsil nazim Misbahuddin Zaigham, Saifuddin Moazzam and Salahuddin Moazzam in a Rs 10 million bank fraud case. On Saturday, the FIA produced the accused persons in the court who granted four days physical remand of them. Earlier, the FIA had registered a fraud case against the accused on the complaint of Usman Ch who reported to the FIA that the accused were working as directors in his company and got Rs 10 million loan from a bank by forging his signature.

YOUTH KILLED: A youth was shot dead by his brother-in-law over a marriage issue at Chak 188/RB, Nalle Wala, on Saturday.

Kashif Akram was on his way when accused Faisal Mukhtar and his accomplices allegedly shot him dead. The motive behind the incident is stated to be that Kashif Akram had divorced his wife a few months back and after allegedly abducting his cousin, sister of accused Faisal, contracted marriage with her, which frustrated the accused.

KILLER GETS DEATH, FINE: Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Yaqoob on Saturday awarded death sentence and Rs 100,000 fine to a man in a murder case.

According to the prosecution, Umar Farooq had murdered Gulzar Ahmad after exchange of hot words with him over some issue at Chak 208/RB some time back. The court acquitted co-accused Arshad, Rashid and Ghaffar by giving them benefit of the doubt in the same case.

BOOKED: Millat Town police on Saturday booked a police inspector and two other cops for keeping a man in illegal detention.

The police registered the case against former SHO Sarfraz Ahmad and ASI Muhammad Afzal and Yasir Ali on the charge of keeping Kashif Mehmood of Lyallpur Colony in illegal confinement without registration of a case against him.

Dr Haroon Rashid said that the life of our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) was a shadow of Holy Quran. Justice (retd) Nazeer Ahmad, MPA Dr Najma Afzal, MPA Madiha Rana, Dr Akram Virk, Prof Dr Naeem, Dr Naured Fatima, Abu Talha Kashmiri and others also spoke.
