ISLAMABAD: Former ambassador of Pakistan to the United States Husain Haqqani Tuesday dismissed Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s allegations against him on Twitter, reported a private TV channel.
According to the details, Haqqani dismissed the allegations posed by Khawaja Asif alleging that he is campaigning against delivery of F-16s to Pakistan from the US. Haqqani tweeted that he is unable to understand what he is getting blamed for. He said that when he was ambassador, Pakistan got F-16s from America for the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
“Don’t know what #Pakistan Def Min is blaming me for now. When I was ambassador, we got PAF F-16s from US,” he tweeted. Earlier, the defence minister said in the National Assembly that Hussain Haqqani is campaigning with India to block F-16s delivery to Pakistan.
