Mashhood sees education revolution

Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that British investment and technical cooperation in Punjab Education Department will bring a revolution in education sector of the province.

He stated this on the occasion of negotiations with British Minister for Development Donal Brown and his team at London on Tuesday for introducing modern innovations in education sector in Punjab, according to a handout issued here. He is currently in England for participation in World Education Forum at London. He said that England had become the biggest partner of Punjab Education Department regarding investment in education sector. He said that Britain is famous regarding promotion of education and improvement of teaching standard in schools and colleges throughout the world. He hoped that the officials of British Education Department, due to their vast experience and knowledge, will play their key role for bringing education standard in Punjab province on a par with Britain and other developed countries. He said that solid steps were being taken for setting up of digital libraries in Punjab, training of teachers on modern lines and improvement of infrastructure in education sector in the light of MoUs signed with University of London, British Council and British Education Department.
