PESHAWAR: The ‘Hunar Mela’ continued to pull crowds as the families continue to throng the venue in Hayatabad to enjoy the music, mushaira and handicrafts on the second consecutive day on Saturday.
The visitors, including women, children and families, enjoyed the traditional Hazara, Kalash, Khattak, Mehsud, Attan, Chitrali, Gatka, Attan Ball and Bangash dances and the music performed by Rabi Pirzada, Gul Panra, Zakir Meer, Muneer Hazara, Nabeela Wadood, which made the event colourful and attractive.
Later, recital sessions of Pashto, Hindko and Urdu poetry were held in the afternoon. The participants and audiences enjoyed every segment alike.
The Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) has organised the event for the skilled entrepreneurs, particularly women, to market their handicrafts and boost income of their families.
The women also set up stalls of the traditional and local foods and cuisines, which offered Chapli Kabab, Biryani and other dishes and won prizes at the competitions.
