Bar president calls on Pervaiz Elahi
LAHORE
Newly-elected president of Lahore Bar Association Arshad Jahangir along with a delegation called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi at his residence on Monday.
The lawyers’ delegation included Jahangir Akhtar, Rafay Ahmad and Ch Muhammad Ishtiaq while MNA Tariq Bashir and advocate Nasir Dugal were present. Ch Pervaiz Elahi heartily felicitated Arshad Jahangir on behalf of Ch Shujaat Hussain and the party and said: “Our party has always raised voice on every forum to resolve lawyers’ problems. We had undertaken historical measures for providing cheap and quick justice to the common man, during our tenure we had provided them ideal facilities and incentives, established separate department of prosecution and set up consumers courts, due to this reason contact remains even today between the lawyers and the PML-Q about every issue. Arshad Jahangir expressed gratitude to Ch Shujaat Hussain, Ch Pervaiz Elahi and PML-Q for support in the bar election.
