5th grader ‘commits suicide’ in Baldia

A fifth grade student allegedly committed suicide at his house in Baldia Town on Friday. According to police, the incident took place at a house located in Sector C/9 of Baldia Town.
After getting information, police and rescuers reached the property and transported the casualty to the Civil Hospital for an autopsy, where he was identified as 12-year-old Suleman, son of Liaquat.
Sharing the findings of the initial investigation, police said boy had a quarrel with his mother, and his mother warned him of complaining to his father. The quoted the family as saying that as the child worried that his father would punish him, he locked himself in a room and ended his life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan.
