PESHAWAR: The district administration arrested 38 shopkeepers during a drive against profiteers in various areas of the provincial capital on Wednesday.
The official visited various bazaars on Dilazak Road, Pishtakhara Road, Warsak Road and Board and arrested 38 shopkeepers for overcharging the customers. The administration claimed that cases had been registered against the shopkeepers for over-pricing.
The deputy commissioner has directed the officials to regularly visit the bazaar and take stern action against the shopkeepers for over-pricing. The officials have also been directed to ensure the implementation of the coronavirus SOPs to protect the citizens from the deadly disease.
