Two ‘TTP terrorists’ held in Mardan
PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two terrorists of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an intelligence-based operation at their hideout in Mardan.
A CTD official said one of the arrested suspects Nidha Ali was wanted by police in 14 different cases of terrorism, carrying Rs7 million head money; while Fardal Ali was wanted in four terrorism cases and carrying Rs4 million head money.
According to the CTD official, the suspects were involved in various incidents
of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and they were planning to attack sensitive installations in Mardan.
During the raid, explosive material, safety fuses, detonators, hand grenades and pistols were recovered from the possession of the militants who were shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation shortly after their arrest.
