Building gutted in Balakot

MANSEHRA: A multi-storey building was gutted in a heavy fire in Manoor Thankar area of Balakot on Monday.The inmates, according to the building’s owners managed to flee before the fire could spread to the entire building.

The fire rapidly engulfed the building and reduced household goods, furniture, gold, cash, and other valuables. Its cause could not be ascertained. The locals rushed to the scene and put out the fire after sprinkling water and sand over it.

According to the owners of the building- Ghulam Jan, Mohammad Sultan, and Mohammad Khaqan all stated to be brothers, they suffered over Rs10 million financial losses in the incident.
