PPP celebrates Zardari’s birthday, victory in AJK polls
LAHORE: PPP Punjab chapter Monday congratulated the party leadership on winning 11 seats in AJK polls despite rigging.
The PPP Punjab leadership also cut a cake to celebrate the 66th birthday of former president Asif Ali Zardari at its secretariat. Addressing a press conference on the occasion, Aslam Gill, senior vice president PPP Punjab said all state resources were used to rig the AJK polls but PPP emerged victorious on 11 seats and it was proven that the PPP was the party of federation. The PPP leadership on the occasion lauded the services and contribution of Asif Ali Zardari for democracy. They said Zardari remained jailed for a long time but didn’t compromise on principles. The ceremony was attended by Nasira Shaukat, Jameel Manj, Naveed Chaudhry, Dr Ziaullah Khan Bangash, Amjad Jatt, Edwin Sahutra, Allama Yousaf Awan and others.
