Even though the Sindh government claimed that it has been working tirelessly to clean up animals’ waste and offal, Karachi’s streets and roads are painting another picture. A revolting stench has engulfed the entire city, and it seems that the authorities are not concerned about the dangerous effects of unattended waste. Every year, we see the same mess. Every year, piles of garbage, including animal waste, are dumped on streets and busy roads. When will the government wake up? We’re in the middle of a global pandemic, we cannot afford to deal with another virus or life-threatening disease.
