Land grabbers, gamblers arrested in Mardan

MARDAN: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested two land grabbers along with weapons while eight gamblers were arrested in another raid.
On a complaint about a land grabbing case, the District Police Officer Dr Zahidullah formed a team, who conducted raids in Sheikh Maltoon and city areas and arrested Noor Zada and Farman for having occupied other people’s property by force. The cops also recovered Kalashnikovs from the arrestees.
Meanwhile, the cops raided a plaza in Par Hoti area and arrested eight gamblers red handed. The police also seized around Rs70,000 on bets during the gambling.
The DPO also visited various police stations of Mardan district and met those detailed in the lockups.
