Animal traders asked to get vaccinated

LAHORE : Deputy Commissioner Lahore Mudassar Riaz Malik has directed all the traders of sacrificial animals to immediately get vaccinated for coronavirus otherwise their animals will be confiscated.

He passed these directions while visiting temporary markets of sacrificial animals established at Shahpur Kanjran and Valencia here on Tuesday. Assistant Commissioner Raiwind Adnan Rasheed and other officials were also present at the occasion. DC Lahore said that traders in all animal markets should get their vaccinations done by Tuesday evening. The traders who have not been vaccinated till this evening would be sent to jail and animals would be confiscated. If any unvaccinated seller was found in the markets, a case will be registered against the zone staff for allowing business in the markets without vaccination, he warned. Mudassar Riaz checked the corona desk in the cattle market and directed that no citizen should be allowed to enter the market without a mask.
