ANF foils two bids to smuggle drugs
The Anti-Narcotics Force claimed to have foiled two bids to smuggle drugs on Wednesday. According to an ANF spokesperson, the force foiled a bid to smuggle heroin from Karachi to the United Kingdom.
An ANF Clifton police conducted a raid on a tip-off at a courier company’s office and seized 1,500 grams of high quality heroin from a parcel booked for the UK. A case has been registered while an investigation is underway. Separately, an ANF Hyderabad team, acting on a tip-off, intercepted car and seized 33 kilograms of high quality hashish and arrested two suspects, namely Faiz Muhammad and Abdul Rasheed.
The spokesperson said the suspects were members of an interprovincial gang. Cases against them have been registered and an inquiry is continuing.
