PML-N forms committee for cantonment elections

The Sindh chapter of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has announced it will take part in the upcoming cantonment elections in the province and has formed a committee to oversee the polls.

The announcement was made at a recent meeting by PML-N Sindh chief Shah Muhammad Shah. According to a notification, Syed Munawar Raz will be head of the election committee while Khwaja Tariq Nazeer will be its deputy. Chaudhary Muhammad Tariq, Malik Muhammad Taj, Salman Khan, Saeedullah Afridi, Raja Ansari and Syed Nisar Shah will be members of the committee.

The Oversight Committee for Cantonment Boards Election (Sindh) will make recommendations regarding the scrutiny of the party’s candidates in all cantonment boards and issuance of party tickets. “Sub-committees for all cantonment boards will be announced after consultation,” the notification said.
