MINGORA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) provincial head Amir Muqam on Tuesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s economic policies had undermined the country.

Addressing a gathering at Kanju Township in Swat district, he claimed that the struggle launched under the banner of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would continue to send the PTI government packing.

He said the PDM was striving for the restoration of true democracy

“This government has started mortgaging motorways, airports and other national assets. In the last three years, the government has caused huge damage to every sector,” Amir Muqam added.

He maintained that rising inflation and price-hike had compounded the problems of the commoners.

He alleged that Zulfi Bukhari visited Israel on a British passport on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan and met Israeli Intelligence chief.

“Israel is a terrorist state and an open enemy of the Muslim Ummah. The PDM condemns Zulfi Bukhari for visiting Israel. We will not tolerate the government’s move to establish diplomatic relations with Israel,” Muqam added.

While criticising the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the PML-N leader said that NAB was taking action only against the political figures and parliamentarians from the opposition.

He alleged that NAB had shut its eyes to the corruption of the government ministers and close aides of the prime minister. Amir Muqam said PML-N’s leader Nawaz Sharif was capable of steering the country out of the prevailing crisis.

Earlier, workers from various political parties, including Awami National Party and Pakistan People’s Party announced joining the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
