IBA, Pak Brunei sign MoU
KARACHI: The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi and Pak Brunei Investment Company Limited (PBICL) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding to support IBA’s financial assistance programme for deserving students.
IBA Karachi Executive Director Dr S Akbar Zaidi and PBICL Managing Director Ayesha Aziz signed the MoU at the IBA Main Campus. Under this four-year agreement, PBICL would set up an annual scholarship fund worth Rs2 million at the IBA, supporting one deserving student for the duration of his/her studies.
Aziz commended IBA for empowering the capable youth of the country by providing quality education through its financial assistance programme. Dr Zaidi, recognising the work of PBICL, expressed his gratitude towards its management for partnering with IBA.
IBA financially supports approximately 30 percent of its student body every year, to ensure that financial constraint was not a hurdle for any deserving student.
Furthermore, the PBICL and the IBA would also collaborate on the Experiential Learning Projects (ELP) programme. PBICL would offer real time projects to the IBA’s business management students for their learning and grooming.
