Two die after consuming toxic liquor

BATKHELA: Two youths died while as many fell unconscious after allegedly consuming toxic liquor in Alladhand Dheri area here on Monday. The locals said that Roman Khan and Kamran Khan and their two other companions, residents of Alladhand Dheri, had allegedly consumed toxic alcohol.
They said that Roman Khan and Kamran Khan died before receiving any medical treatment and the two others, whose names could not be ascertained, fell unconscious. They were taken to the hospital where their condition was stated to be stable. Alladhand Dheri Post Commander Umar Wahid confirmed the incident and said a case had been registered and investigation launched.
Soon after the incident, the people took to the social media and criticised the sale and use of alcohol in the Malakand like conservative area. They also criticised the administration for failure to control the spread of drug addiction in the area.
