EU envoy calls on KP governor
PESHAWAR: European Union (EU) Ambassador Androulla Kaminara called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman here on Tuesday. They discussed matters of mutual interest and emphasized the need to strengthen diplomatic relations.
The two sides agreed to promote cooperative farming and focus on cooperation in the field of agriculture, olive, dry fruit and saffron production. Governor Shah Farman said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was rich in natural resources and the EU can explore opportunities in the field of agriculture, mineral and tourism sectors.
The governor said that a peaceful Afghanistan was in the interest of Pakistan and the region, adding the international community should chalk out a comprehensive policy to work for peace in the region.
