Tik Toker granted bail in one case

LAHORE:A Judicial Magistrate on Tuesday granted bail to Tik Toker Kashif Zameer in a case of impersonating as a government official and carrying illegal weapons.

The court has granted bail to Kashif Zameer on submission of surety bonds of Rs1,00,000. However, Kashif will remain in police custody in another case of tricking Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan into visiting Pakistan. The police had arrested Kashif on the complaint of Engin, who rose to global fame for his role as Ertugrul in hit TV series "Dirilis: Ertugrul".

Turkish Embassy in Pakistan had sent a complaint letter to the Punjab Home Department after which a case was registered against Kashif on the directives of Inspector General Police. According to the FIR, Kashif invited Engin Altan to visit Pakistan for the shooting of Chaudhry Group brand. The accused failed to pay the actor and cancelled the agreement when Engin's team demanded the money.

It was reported that the suspect identified himself as a government official when police conducted a raid to arrest him. The report said the police recovered a vehicle with blue emergency light and weapons from his possession and registered a case against him in Nishtar Colony Police Station. The other case was registered in Racecourse police station.

Paragon case: An accountability court Tuesday adjourned the hearing of Paragon housing scam until July 30. The court has adjourned as the regular judge yet has not been appointed in the court. According to the reference, Qaiser Amin Butt, the main accused in the Paragon scam, voluntarily disclosed the facts related to the commission of offence and requested for pardon under Section 26 of the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999 (NAO 1999), which was granted by the competent authority.
