PU takes action against student for ordering beer
A PU spokesperson said that police had yet to share details regarding registration of FIR and added that the student had been suspended.

LAHORE: Punjab University (PU) admin has moved an application for registration of FIR against one of its students for ordering beer and liquor inside the campus.
According to application, a copy available with The News, PU security guards stopped a motorbike at the University’s Gate No 1 and recovered 20 bottles of beer and one bottle of liquor from the two private persons who upon inquiry alleged that the same were ordered by a boarding student, Khayam, from PU Hostel No 18.
PU Chief Security Officer Col (retd) Ubaid Masood moved the application for registration of FIR at Police Station Muslim Town. A PU spokesperson said that police had yet to share details regarding registration of FIR and added that the student had been suspended.
