An appeal

June 18, 2021

Dear readers, I am Mrs Shabana Balouch, 44-years-old, and mother of three school-going children with the smallest being 7 years of age. I am Pakistani, and have been living in Maidstone, Kent for almost six years. My husband works for the NHS trust and is a doctor in London Hospital.

I have chronic kidney disease which has progressed during this Covid-19 pandemic to end-stage kidney failure, and I have been put down for a national organ transplant in the deceased donor list for some time. Throughout this Covid-19 outbreak, I am in complete self-isolation and have only gone out for health visits to hospital.

On 4th June I had peritoneal dialysis catheter insertion surgery performed, in preparation to start peritoneal dialysis within a few weeks’ time. Dialysis is a bridging treatment before one finds a suitable matching organ in hopes for survival.

Dear readers through Jang media group I am reaching out to you all, if one of you is kind enough to help in giving me the gift of the life, I’ll be forever indebted. Please contact me by private message or Kent region Living organ transplant co-ordinator to show your support and enquiries. Please forward this among your contacts. Thank you all readers. God bless you all.

Mrs Shabana Balouch
