Budget to open new chapter of prosperity: CM
LAHORE:MPAs from PML-N and PPP met Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Sunday and expressed their complete confidence over his leadership and assured him their full support.
They also lauded the vision of the chief minister for proposing excellent measures of public welfare in the forthcoming budget. The elected representatives apprised the CM of the problems of their respective constituencies.
Usman Buzdar assured them of resolving their issues on priority. He said his doors are always open for all. He asserted that the new fiscal year budget would open a new chapter of development and prosperity for people of the province as substantial funds are being allocated in development budget. More funds will be allocated for education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and other social sectors, he added.
He said separate development package has been devised for each district. The negative politics of the conspirators has been buried forever. Now the politics of public service will prevail instead of politics of anarchy, he said and added that there is no room for corruption and corrupt elements in Naya Pakistan under the leadership of PM Imran Khan.
Without caring criticism, the journey of public service will be further accelerated. Negative politics of the PDM has been met to its logical end and people have rejected the politics of chaos. PDM’s end is quite a lesson for those who engage in the negative politics. The attempts of opposition to divide the nation failed miserably. People of Pakistan are well-aware and will never be fooled by the corrupt elements. Those who met the CM included Mian Jalil Ahmed Sharqpuri, Ch Ashraf Ali Ansari, Muhammad Ghias-ud-Din, Muhammad Faisal Khan Niazi, Raees Nabeel Ahmed and Ghazanfar Abbas and Azhar Abbas Chandia.
Chief Whip Punjab Assembly MPA Syed Abbas Ali Shah, Tahir Bashir Cheema, Younis Ansari and Masood Majeed were also present. cabinet meeting: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar will preside over a special meeting of the provincial cabinet today (Monday), in which approval will be given to the proposals of budget for fiscal year 2021-22. The meeting will also approve the supplementary budget for the financial year 2020-21, said a handout issued here on Sunday. The cabinet will also approve the revised budget estimates for the financial year 2020-21. Provincial ministers, advisers, special assistants, chief secretaries and secretaries of relevant departments will attend the meeting.

LAHORE: The chief minister ordered for providing the best treatment facilities to a victim of acid attack, namely Maryam Nausher. The chief minister said that the Punjab government would bear all treatment expenditures of the injured woman. He said that accused involved in this incident deserved deterrent punishment and would bring to the book.
