A robber, who had been severely beaten up by a mob on Thursday after being caught in Orangi Town, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital on Friday.
Police said four robbers arrived on two motorcycles at a motorcycle showroom on Thursday within the limits of the Pakistan Bazaar police station. As they robbed the showroom, the owner started screaming for help, after which a crowd gathered at the scene and got hold of two of the suspects while the other two managed to escape.
The crowd severely beat up the two men who were later taken into custody by law enforcers. The injured suspects were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where one of them, Jahangir, succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police also claimed to have seized a pistol and a motorcycle from the suspects’ possession. Further investigations are underway.
