The Ghotki accident
June 08, 2021
The ever-increasing number of train accidents in the country suggests that the authorities haven’t taken any action to make this mode of travelling safe. The Ghotki incident is another fatal accident that raises serious questions about the PTI’s performance. Over the past few years, hundreds of people have died in train-related accidents, but the authorities have conveniently turned a blind eye to this important issue. In other countries, the relevant minister offers to resign if a fatal accident happens. The prime minister should take notice of the unsatisfactory performance of every state-run institution.
