Man kills uncle over property dispute

HARIPUR: A man allegedly gunned down his paternal uncle over a property dispute in the limits of Kotnajibullah Police Station here on Sunday.

The police quoted Mussarat Bibi, wife of Adil Mehmood, as saying that she was home with her husband Adil Mehmood in Pind Jamal Khan village when Abrar Ahmed, paternal nephew of Adil, barged into their home and opened fire at her husband, injuring him seriously.

The injured was shifted to the Rural Health Centre in Kotnajibullah where the doctors pronounced him as brought dead.

The motive behind the murder was a property dispute. The accused, however, managed to escape from the village, police said.

OffICE-BEARERS: The office-bearers of the Petition Writers Association, Haripur, took the oath on Sunday.

SP Investigation Mujibur Rehman administered oath to the office-bearers at a ceremony at the picnic spot of Chakahee.
