Rescue 1122 finalises Eid Milad plan

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has finalised the arrangements for providing effective emergency cover on auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal as over 8,000 rescuers shall discharge their duties in three shifts all over the Punjab.

DG Rescue Punjab Brig (r) Dr. Arshad Zia reviewed the emergency arrangements while presiding over a meeting at the Rescue 1122’s Headquarters on Wednesday and directed all the District Emergency Officers (DEOs) to ensure comprehensive emergency medical cover to the gatherings, processions and rallies on this special eve of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

In this regard, the leaves of the rescuers have also been restricted and they have been assigned special emergency duties.

As per contingency plans, emergency cover shall be provided to main processions with mobile rescue posts along with fully equipped emergency vehicles including rescue ambulances, fire tenders and specialised vehicles. Furthermore, coordinated liaison has also been developed with key focal persons of processions/ gatherings. All the District Emergency Officers have finalised the mapping of all events/routs processions in this regard.

According to the emergency plan, rescue personnell shall also remain in close coordination with other related agencies and services in control room established in the districts and Provincial Monitoring Cell (PMC) and trained doctors shall supervise the arrangements on the day.

The Provincial Monitoring Cell of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) shall also remain operational round-the-clock for monitoring of all the districts and providing directions; assistance and logistic support in case of any untoward incident.
