Islamabad
The 'Entrepreneurial Week' organised by the Management Sciences Department started at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) here on Tuesday, says a press release.
More than 60 stalls were established. The participating students came up with innovative ideas and put up a variety of stalls including creative works of art and crafts, textile, books, accessories, jewellery and food for sale.
NUML Director General Brigadier Riaz Ahmed Gondal inaugurated the 'Entrepreneurial Week,' while Director Administration Brigadier Ziaul Hassan Sahi, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences Dr. Maqsoodul Hassan, HoD Nadeem Talib and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the NUML director general said that students need to be self-confident and should have an entrepreneurial mindset to execute their business projects in an effective manner in future. The aim of the activity is to help students seek opportunities, obtain finances and to efficiently develop and market new products, he said.
Management Sciences Dean Dr. Maqsoodul Hassan said that the 'Entrepreneurial Week' is arranged during every semester for the students of MBA and BBA as a project work for the subject of ‘Entrepreneurship’. It actually helps students to understand and exercise the concepts like how to initiate an idea and establish a business. On the other hand, it helps students to create jobs for themselves and for others, he added.
