MoU signed
LAHORE
Virtual University (VC) of Pakistan through its Television Department (VUTV) with Beaconhouse National University (BNU) School of Media and Communication (SMC) and Department of Theatre, Film & TV (TFT) Tuesday inked an MoU for collaborative venture between the two departments.
Virtual University of Pakistan will showcase TFT’s student video thesis on its TV channels and promote the segment through social media mobilisation among student communities.
A delegation comprising VC, BNU, dean, School of Media and Mass Communication and HOD, Department of Theatre, Film and Television along with other members from BNU visited Virtual University Television Network. The BNU team praised the state of the art infrastructure of the Virtual University’s Television Network. The BNU officials appreciated the setup, unique mode of education and the contributions of VU towards educating the nation.
Dr Naveed A Malik, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan, and Shahid Hafiz Kardar, Vice Chancellor BNU, graced the occasion with their presence. The honourable chief guest and VC, BNU, Shahid Hafiz Kardar praised the efforts of the collaborative venture between the two departments and further emphasised that both the universities should also make a partnership in other areas to further strengthen the ties. The Rector, Virtual University of Pakistan, Prof Dr Naveed A Malik appreciated the efforts of the Programmes Manager, VU Television Network, Baber Ali and the HOD of Department of Theatre, Film, and TV, School of Media and Communication, BNU, Urooj Samdani for conducting the event. Earlier, Programmes Manager, VUTV, Mr. Baber Ali highlighted the main features of the collaboration between the two departments.
