FAISALABAD: Clean environment is a sign of healthy society and cleanliness of heart, said Government College Women University Vice-Chancellor Dr Naureen Aziz Qureshi.
Addressing a seminar titled “Clean and Green Week” organised by the university intermediate section here on Monday, she said that Islam emphasised on cleanliness because it was a part of our faith to purify environment and ourselves. Javeria Altaf of the Directorate of Advance Studies, Dr Zil-e-Huma Nazli and Abida Hayat explained water pollution, global warming and cleanliness according to Islamic point of view.
Meanwhile, a poster competition was also held and Dr Naureen Aziz Qureshi distributed certificates among the position holders and appreciated their efforts. Intermediate section in-charge Dr Tehmina Yasmeen thanked the guests for their participation in the function.
